- 7:45- Meet / eat breakfast in the hallway between the two gyms.
- Bring LUCKY PENCIL, blue or black ink pen.
- Do not bring into the testing room: food, drinks (including water), smart watches, phones, cameras, extra paper, notes, books of any kind.
- If you are late or do not show up for any AP exam, you will be charged for the test ($94) and the return fee ($15).

- You should have 8 works of literature reviewed on your charts now.
- Use past AP Q3 topics to brainstorm and create a corresponding thesis statement.

- Free Response Q2: sample test passage
- Take 8 minutes to read and briefly annotate the passage for the ideas in the prompt.
- Assignment: Read these sample essays. One is a high-scoring paper, one is a medium and one is a low-scoring paper. Put them in order and assign a score to each 1-9). [Scores]
- Free Response Q3: Practice with Major Literary Works Chart
- What work of literature would you use to answer last year's Q3? Write out:
- the work and character you would choose
- what the "gift" is
- the benefits & problem with the gift
- how this gift contributes to the MEANING OF THE WORK AS A WHOLE (because that is part of the prompt)
- Look at an essay that was written in response to this prompt. (score)
- HW due Mon. 5/6/19:
- Complete Major Literary Works Chart for four MORE (8 total) works of literary merit that you have read in high school. Here are the possibilities we discussed in class.
